The Central Europe Cup is an annual international Twenty20 cricket tournament held in Prague, Czech Republic. Organised by the Czech Cricket Union, it operates as a regional development event for national teams rather than a domestic club championship. It sits outside the traditional pyramid, distinct from the European Cricket League, which features club champions. The tournament hosts national representative sides under the auspices of ICC Europe.
The format has evolved since its inception. From 2014 to 2018, the event was contested as a 50-over One Day tournament. Since 2019, matches have been played in the Twenty20 format, with official Twenty20 International status granted by the ICC starting in 2021. The structure typically involves a round-robin group stage among invited nations, followed by a final between the top two teams or a simple standings-based victory for the highest-ranked side. Recent editions have frequently utilised a tri-series format involving three teams.
The competition is notable for providing a developmental platform for emerging cricket nations in the region, including Serbia and Luxembourg. These teams benefit from playing matches that carry official international status. The tournament does not involve promotion or relegation as it is an invitational event. A separate Women's Central Europe Cup was inaugurated in 2024.
The Czech Republic is the most successful nation in the men's competition, having secured four titles. Poland also holds three titles, while Austria has claimed three. The current men's champion is the Czech Republic, having won the 2026 edition held in June 2026 in Prague. The tournament continues to serve as a key opportunity for smaller nations to gain experience against regional peers.
