The Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) serves as the premier club-based List A cricket competition within Bangladesh. Founded in the 1973–74 season, it operates under the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). While the National Cricket League remains the top-tier first-class competition, this league is distinct from the franchise-based Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), which focuses on T20 cricket.
The competition features twelve teams, primarily consisting of private cricket clubs. The format typically involves a round-robin stage followed by play-offs for the top six teams, although recent seasons have occasionally concluded after the round-robin stage alone. Abahani Limited stands out as the most successful club with 23–24 titles. Mohammedan Sporting Club secured the most recent championship in the 2025–26 season.
Promotion and relegation links the DPDCL with the Dhaka First Division Cricket League. The bottom teams from the DPDCL are relegated, while the top teams from the First Division are promoted. The league gained official List A status in the 2013–14 season, replacing the National Cricket League One-Day as the country's primary limited-overs tournament.
Notable reforms have shaped the competition in recent years. A player draft system was introduced around 2017–18, and restrictions on foreign players limit each team to one since 2015–16. The league faced disruptions, including a suspension in 2012–13 and impacts from the pandemic in 2019–20 and 2020–21.
The Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League is the top-tier club-based List A cricket competition in Bangladesh, founded in the 1973–74 season.
