Durham Women in Zimbabwe 2024/25

Durham Women in Zimbabwe is a specific international cricket tour, not a standing domestic league or cup. The series took place in March 2025 in Harare, featuring Durham County Cricket Club’s women’s team against Zimbabwe Women XI and Zimbabwe Women High Performance XI. The schedule comprised one List-A match of fifty overs and three Twenty20 fixtures.

Durham Women secured victory in the List-A encounter by twenty-seven runs. In the Twenty20 series, the balance of results saw Durham claim one win by six wickets, while Zimbabwe Women XI won the remaining two contests. This tour operates outside the standard domestic structures of both nations. In Zimbabwe, the primary domestic competition remains the Zimbabwe Cricket Women's T20 Cup, organized by Zimbabwe Cricket and featuring provincial franchises including Mashonaland Eagles, Matabeleland Tuskers, Mountaineers, Mid West Rhinos, and Southern Rocks. The twenty-fourth edition of that tournament was won by Tuskers Women.

For the visiting side, the tour serves as pre-season preparation. Durham Women compete in the top-tier professional structure established in England in twenty-twenty-five. They play in the Women's Vitality Blast, a Twenty20 competition, and the Women's Metro Bank One Day Cup, a fifty-over tournament. This arrangement replaced the previous regional 'Northern Diamonds' model. The event differs from domestic leagues by involving a foreign county side against a national representative XI, providing high-level exposure for Zimbabwean players.
