Estonia in Finland 2022/23

Estonia in Finland is not a recognised cricket competition. No official or joint club league exists between teams from Estonia and Finland. Cricket in both nations is governed separately by Cricket Finland and the Estonian Cricket Association. The two countries have distinct domestic structures with no shared pyramid or promotion system.

Any interaction between clubs from these two nations is informal. Estonian sides have occasionally been invited to the Finnish Helsinki Sixes tournament. Finnish teams have sometimes taken part in the Deloitte & Touche Tallinn Cup in Estonia. These are one-off guest participations in domestic cups, not a structured bilateral competition. There is no standing joint league for clubs.

The relationship is defined by international fixtures between national teams rather than club cricket. This includes Men’s and Women’s T20 International series. Finland has toured Estonia and vice versa in both 2022 and subsequent years. Both nations also compete in broader regional tournaments as national sides. They participate in the ICC Europe qualification pathways for the T20 World Cup. The Nordic T20I Cup involves Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. The Baltic Cup primarily features Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, but has recently included Finland as a national team participant.

At the club level, the domestic leagues remain distinct. The Estonian Cricket League was formed in 2007. In Finland, the SM-sarja and T20 leagues operate independently. No evidence supports the existence of a formal "Baltic Cricket League" or similar entity integrating these clubs. The competition described does not exist as a unified entity.
