Headley Weekes Tri-Series 2023/24

The Headley Weekes Tri-Series is a domestic first-class cricket competition organized by Cricket West Indies (CWI). It was founded in 2023 and held its inaugural edition in April and May of that year at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. The tournament was established to extend the domestic red-ball season, providing additional first-class opportunities for players on the fringe of the senior West Indies Test team and for the regional Academy. It is named in honor of two legendary West Indian batsmen, George Headley and Sir Everton Weekes.

The competition features three teams: Team Headley, Team Weekes, and the West Indies Academy. Team Headley and Team Weekes are selected from the best performers in the preceding West Indies Championship and players outside the starting Test XI. The West Indies Academy consists of emerging players. The format is a round-robin tri-series where each team plays two four-day matches. All matches are awarded first-class status.
