HKPL One-Day Tournament (Hong Kong) 2021/22

The HKPL One-Day Tournament stands as the premier domestic one-day cricket competition within Hong Kong. Organized by Cricket Hong Kong, the tournament was established in 2016 following a significant restructuring of men's domestic cricket. Its primary purpose is to deliver high-quality List A cricket for players aiming for national selection. It sits at the apex of the local pyramid, positioned above the Elite League and Championship League.

Participation is restricted to five clubs: Kowloon Cricket Club, United Services Recreation Club, Diasqua Little Sai Wan Cricket Club, Hong Kong Cricket Club, and Pakistan Association of Hong Kong. Membership is fixed and determined by administrative approval rather than on-field performance, meaning there is no promotion or relegation between this league and lower divisions.

Matches consist of 50-over List A games. The season structure begins with a round-robin group stage before concluding with a single final match to decide the champion. Teams accumulate points for victories, with additional bonus points awarded for run rates. The tournament operates separately from the HKPL T20 and T10 tournaments, which maintain their own distinct schedules and winners. It also remains independent of the 'Sarjan HKPL,' a corporate event organized by the Sarjan Group for the Indian community.

Historically, the competition has seen dominance from traditional powerhouses. Diasqua Little Sai Wan Cricket Club claimed the inaugural title in the 2016–17 season. In more recent years, Kowloon Cricket Club and Hong Kong Cricket Club have emerged as the most successful entities, with the latter securing titles in the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons. Pakistan Association of Hong Kong remains a frequent contender in the modern era. This competition serves as the central pathway for domestic talent to gain visibility for the Hong Kong national team.
