The **HKPL One-Day Tournament** serves as the premier domestic one-day cricket competition in Hong Kong. Organized by Cricket Hong Kong, which formerly operated as the Hong Kong Cricket Association, the title was established for the 2015/16 season. This launch marked a structural shift, replacing the long-standing Sunday League to create the top-tier domestic framework.

Five elite clubs compete in this closed league, which operates without promotion or relegation from lower divisions like the Sunday Elite and Saturday Championship. The participating teams are the Hong Kong Cricket Club (HKCC), Kowloon Cricket Club (KCC), Pakistan Association of Hong Kong (PAHK), United Services Recreation Club (USRC), and Diasqua Little Sai Wan Cricket Club (DLSWC).

The tournament structure follows a clear path to victory. Teams begin with a round-robin group stage before advancing to semi-finals and a final. The competition remains distinct from the Hong Kong Cricket Shield, which includes a broader range of clubs, and the HKPL T20 Tournament, its twenty20 counterpart.
