National Super League 4-Day Tournament (Sierra Leone) 2022/23

The National Super League 4-Day Tournament is a first-class domestic cricket competition in Sri Lanka, organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). Established in 2022, it operates within the first-class tier of the country's cricket hierarchy. Unlike the Major League Tournament, which features club teams, this competition involves district or provincial sides. As of the 2025 season, five district teams participate: Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Jaffna, and Dambulla.

The structure consists of a round-robin league stage followed by a final contested between the top two teams. Matches are played over four days. The tournament was introduced as part of a major restructuring of the domestic calendar to provide a clear pathway for players to the national team and the Lanka Premier League (LPL). It also aims to discourage participation in overseas leagues by centralizing player remuneration. Players must represent their clubs in the Major League Tournament to be eligible for selection in the National Super League. While the Major League Tournament remains the benchmark for club cricket, the National Super League serves as the primary benchmark for national Test squad selection based on district performance.

Notable winners include Kandy District, who won the inaugural 2021–22 season, and Dambulla District, who claimed titles in 2022–23 and 2026. Galle District won the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons. There is no formal promotion or relegation system between the National Super League and the Major League Tournament, as they are distinct structures with different participant bases. The competition ensures that domestic players remain engaged with local cricket while earning significant sums to compete with overseas leagues.
