National Super League Limited Over Tournament 2022/23

The National Super League Limited Over Tournament is the premier List A cricket competition in Sri Lanka. Organized by Sri Lanka Cricket, it operates as a five-team regional franchise tournament. The participating sides—Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna, Galle, and Dambulla—are clusters formed by merging players from various member clubs within their respective regions rather than traditional clubs. For instance, the Colombo team includes players from clubs like Sinhalese Sports Club, Saracens, and Police Sports Club.

The competition was founded in 2022, with the inaugural season held in January of that year. It represents the top tier of Sri Lanka's domestic limited-overs structure. The format typically involves a double round-robin group stage followed by a final. In recent editions, each of the five teams plays eight matches against every other team. The top two teams at the end of the group stage advance to the final. There is no promotion or relegation between the NSL and the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament; the NSL teams are fixed franchises.

The tournament is currently sponsored by Dialog Axiata PLC, officially known as the Dialog – SLC National Super League Limited Over Tournament. Dambulla District is the most successful team with two titles. The tournament was introduced to professionalize domestic cricket and provide a platform for national selection, running alongside the National Super League 4-Day Tournament.
