National Super League Limited Over Tournament 2023/24

The National Super League Limited Over Tournament is the top tier of domestic List A cricket in Sri Lanka. Established in 2022, the competition serves as the primary feeder for the national team and the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Five district-based sides contest the title: Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna, Galle, and Dambulla. These squads are not permanent franchises; they are assembled by grouping players from approximately 26 major club teams according to their performances in the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament.

The structure is straightforward. Each team plays eight matches in a double round-robin format, facing every opponent twice. The points table dictates the progression, with the top two sides advancing directly to a single final decision. There are no semi-finals or qualification playoffs. Dambulla holds the record for the most titles won, having claimed victories in 2023 and 2024, while Jaffna District secured the inaugural edition in 2022.

Sponsorship is provided by Dialog Axiata PLC, which brands the event as the Dialog-SLC National Super League. The competition maintains a district-based identity, distinct from the franchise model of the Lanka Premier League. It sits above the club-centric Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament in the selection hierarchy, though there is currently no formal promotion or relegation between the two levels. Participation is determined by player selection derived from club performances rather than contractual franchise agreements.
