National Super League Limited Over Tournament 2024/25

National Super League Limited Over Tournament is the premier domestic List A cricket competition in Sri Lanka. Organized by Sri Lanka Cricket, the tournament serves as the primary developmental stage for One Day International players. It was established in 2022 following a major restructuring of the domestic calendar that replaced the previous Premier Limited Overs Tournament structure. This shift introduced a provincial and district-based model designed to bridge the gap between domestic performance and international standards.

The competition features five district-based teams: Colombo, Dambulla, Galle, Jaffna, and Kandy. These squads are formed by clustering players from the country's top first-class clubs according to their performance in club competitions. The format consists of a double round-robin league stage where each team plays every other team twice. The top two teams from the standings then contest a single final match. There is no promotion or relegation within this elite tier, as it operates as a closed franchise-style representative system for national team selection purposes.

Dambulla have demonstrated significant consistency in the modern era. They defeated Jaffna to claim the 2022–23 title and subsequently beat Kandy by 19 runs in the final to secure their second championship in the 2023–24 season. Dambulla emerged as the defending champions heading into the 2024 campaign. The tournament runs concurrently with the National Super League 4-Day Tournament, which is the top-tier first-class competition for Test team selection. It is distinct from the Lanka Premier League, a commercial T20 franchise league with different team structures and ownership models.

The competition is officially known as the Dialog SLC National Super League due to sponsorship by Dialog Axiata. The restructuring aimed to create stronger regional identities and ensure higher quality standards through player clustering. The competition stands as the definitive path to List A recognition for Sri Lankan cricketers aspiring to the national side.
