Philippines Women in Cambodia 2022/23

The Vimpex Cup was a bilateral cricket series featuring the Philippines Women and Cambodia Women national teams. Held in December 2022 at the ISF Sports Ground in Phnom Penh, the event consisted of six Women's Twenty20 Internationals. The fixture holds historical significance for Cambodia, as it marked the maiden T20I matches for the Cambodian side. Consequently, the series granted the host nation official ICC ranking status for the first time. Cambodia won the series 5–1.

The event was sponsored by Vimpex Limited, an FMCG distributor. It served as a standalone series rather than part of a domestic league or a regional multi-sport tournament such as the SEA Games. The competition was organised under the joint governance of the Cricket Federation of Cambodia (CFC) and the Philippine Cricket Association (PCA). The CFC was founded in 2011 by Vath Chamroeun and admitted to the ICC in 2022. The PCA was established in 1999 by expatriates including Faisal Khan and joined the ICC in 2017.

Unlike regional competitions where teams compete against multiple neighbours, this series provided a focused environment for the developing Cambodian side. While the Philippines maintains its own domestic structures, including the Katipunan Cup and the Sinclair Trophy, this specific engagement was an international bilateral. The series offered a rare opportunity for direct comparison between the two Southeast Asian nations without the pressure of a broader continental championship.

The matches were played in a single block, allowing the teams to tour each other's facilities without the logistical complexity of a longer tournament. The victory for Cambodia was decisive, confirming their progress in international cricket. The event underscored the growing interest in women's cricket within the region, providing a platform for the newer teams to gain experience against established opponents.
