Under-19s Triangular Series is a cricket tournament operated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It features centrally selected national representative teams rather than state or regional associations. The standard lineup includes India Under-19 A, India Under-19 B, and an international Under-19 team, typically Bangladesh or Afghanistan. The competition was initiated as a specific preparatory format for high-performance development, with the first documented edition occurring in November 2021 in Kolkata. Its primary purpose is to serve as a feeder mechanism for the Indian National Under-19 team, particularly ahead of ICC Under-19 World Cups.
Matches are played as One-Day Internationals of 50 overs each. The structure usually consists of a round-robin league stage followed by a final between the top two teams, contested in a single venue over a short duration of approximately ten days. There is no promotion or relegation as the participants are centrally selected squads. The tournament sits outside the standard domestic pyramid, which features state/regional associations such as the Vijay Hazare Trophy or Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Bangladesh Under-19s won the inaugural 2021 series. In the 2023 Quadrangular series, India A Under-19s claimed the title. In the 2025 Triangular series against Afghanistan, the title was shared between India A and Afghanistan due to a rain-abandoned final. The format remains distinct from other Indian domestic competitions through its use of 'A' and 'B' national squads and its exclusive focus on Under-19 development rather than senior domestic cricket.
