The Women's T20 Pacific Cup is a regional cricket tournament organised by Cricket Pacific for women's national teams in Oceania. Unlike official qualification pathways, it functions as an invitational developmental event rather than part of the International Cricket Council promotion and relegation pyramid.
The inaugural edition took place in October 2022 in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Since then, the tournament has established a consistent format. It typically features a round-robin league stage followed by knockout playoffs, including a Final and a 3rd Place Playoff. The structure provides competitive opportunities for nations outside the traditional global hierarchy.
Papua New Guinea Women have demonstrated clear dominance in the competition. They won the inaugural 2022 edition and retained the title in 2024, when the event was held in Auckland, New Zealand. The 2024 runner-up was New Zealand Māori, an occasional invitational team whose matches may not carry full T20I status. The 2025 edition was hosted in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. In the final, Papua New Guinea Women defeated Samoa Women by 94 runs to secure the title.
Other participants have included Vanuatu, Samoa, Fiji, and the Cook Islands. The tournament is currently supported under the PacificAus Sports banner. While the official ICC Women's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier serves as the pathway to global qualification, this cup remains distinct in its focus on regional development and hospitality among Pacific nations.
The event continues to bring together teams from across the region. Its growth is evident in the participation of various national sides and occasional guest teams. The competition offers a platform for players to showcase their skills in a supportive environment. Winning the cup remains a significant achievement for any participating nation.
