Dor Turgeman

Dor Turgeman made history within days of arriving in Major League Soccer. Signed by New England Revolution from Maccabi Tel Aviv in August 2025 under the league's U22 Initiative for a base fee of $5.5 million, with add-ons that could push the deal to $7 million, he scored in each of his first three league appearances — with his left foot, his right foot and his head. That run made him the tenth player in MLS history to open a career that way, and the first in Revolution history.

Turgeman's path to New England ran through Maccabi Tel Aviv's academy, which he joined after coming through the youth ranks at FC Ashdod, the club of his home city. He made his senior debut for Maccabi in 2020 and spent the 2021–2022 season on loan at Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam before returning to the first team. Back at Maccabi, he won the Israeli Premier League title in both the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons, and added the Israeli Super Cup in 2023, when Maccabi beat Maccabi Petah Tikva 2–0, and again in 2024 against Bnei Yehuda.

He featured for Israel's U-19 side in the run to the final of the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. Turgeman made his senior debut for Israel in September 2023 against Romania and has since scored in a 2026 World Cup qualifier winner against Norway, as well as against Moldova. A thigh injury picked up in the Europa League with Maccabi Tel Aviv in late 2024 kept him out for a month.
