Erwin Mario Saavedra Flores

Erwin Saavedra came through at Bolívar, making his debut in the Clausura 2014 tournament and becoming a fixture in the midfield of a club that would go on to win the Bolivian Primera División four times with him in the side: Apertura 2014, Clausura 2015, Apertura 2017 and Apertura 2019. A brief loan spell took him to Goiás in Brazil in 2017, where he made four appearances in the Série B, before he returned to Bolívar.

In January 2022, Mamelodi Sundowns paid a reported $800,000 to sign him, taking Saavedra to South Africa. He won the Premier Division title with Sundowns in the 2021–22 season, but injuries and limited opportunities restricted him to eight league appearances and 454 minutes on the pitch during his time at the club. He was loaned back to Bolívar in 2024, playing nine league matches, before rejoining the club permanently in February 2025.

At international level, Saavedra debuted for Bolivia on 12 November 2015 in a 4–2 win over Venezuela and has gone on to earn 39 caps and score four goals for the national team. He has represented Bolivia at the Copa América Centenario in 2016, the Copa América in 2019 and again in 2021.
