Fernando Rubén González Pineda

Fernando Rubén González Pineda making seven league appearances for Chivas before the club sent him out on loan to sharpen up. Two spells at Coras de Tepic and a run at Atlético Zacatepec, and by the time he returned to first-team football he had the experience to hold down a place in midfield.

His move to Necaxa in 2018. He won the Copa México Clausura and the Supercopa MX that year, then established himself as a regular starter, making 35 league appearances in 2019 and contributing two goals. That form earned him a transfer to Club América for a fee of around €1.78 million, where he added a Campeón de Campeones title to his collection and made 39 league appearances.

A spell at León followed in 2021, though his time there was brief, limited to 12 league appearances before he returned to Necaxa for the Apertura tournament that year. He made 35 appearances in that second stint before completing a second homecoming to Guadalajara in the middle of 2022.

Since rejoining Chivas, González has settled into the squad as a dependable midfield presence, passing 130 league appearances for the club. He has yet to earn a senior call-up to the Mexico national team, and his career has so far been built on consistency in domestic football rather than individual recognition.
