Carlos Sebastián Ferreira Vidal

Sebastián Ferreira came through the Olimpia academy and made his professional debut in 2016, but it was the loan to Independiente de Asunción a year later that put him in front of scouts abroad. The move to Monarcas Morelia in 2018 took him to Mexico, and after returning to Paraguay with Libertad, the Houston Dynamo made him their most expensive signing when they brought him to Major League Soccer in January 2022.

His time in Houston included a loan spell at Vasco da Gama in Brazil for the second half of the 2023 season, before he came back to finish his contract with the Dynamo. That contract was terminated by mutual consent in January 2025, and Ferreira signed with Rosario Central in Argentina shortly after on a free transfer.

The Rosario Central stint did not last long. He terminated his contract there in June 2025 and returned to Olimpia, the club where he started out, signing a two-year deal through 2027. The move was made official on 9 June 2025, closing a circuit that had taken him from Asunción to Mexico, back to Paraguay, on to the United States, Brazil and Argentina, before bringing him home.

Ferreira plays as a centre-forward and favours his right foot.
