Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium holds 27,000 and belongs to no single tenant: Al-Ahli's men, Al-Ittihad and the women's side all share the pitch. That arrangement matters more than it might elsewhere, because when Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad's women meet there, it is a derby played in a ground that already carries the weight of the men's rivalry.

The women's team itself is a recent addition to that history. It was set up in October 2022, after Al-Ahli took over the licence held by Miras Jeddah Club. Rather than building a squad from nothing, the club moved quickly to make use of it.

Results followed within two seasons. Al-Ahli beat Al-Shabab to the SAFF Women's Cup in 2023–24, then beat Al-Qadsiah for the same trophy a year later. The league title has proved harder to reach: Al-Nassr took the Saudi Women's Premier League both years Al-Ahli finished second, and a further runner-up finish came in the 2025 Saudi Women's Super Cup.
