Al-ula Women

The Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Medina holds 24,000 people, and Al-Ula Women play there because the club sits under the wing of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, which backs the women's department that grew out of the long-established Al-Ula Sports Club. That department did not exist until 2023, when trials opened that May under coach Alaa Abu Qasheh. The team's first competitive match came that November, a 14–0 win over Ohod that was cut short for lack of opposition players.

What followed in that debut season, 2023–24, was an unbeaten run through the Saudi Women's First Division: nine wins, three draws, 73 goals scored against three conceded. The title itself was settled on penalties on 14 March 2024, against Al-Taraji after the final finished level, and it sent Al-Ula up into the Saudi Women's Premier League, where they finished fifth in their first season, Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.

In 2023 it signed Bosnian Selma Kapetanović and Croatian Fatjesa Gegollaj, the first active European internationals in the league; Kapetanović went on to finish as the First Division's top scorer. By late 2024 the side, nicknamed the Arabian Tigress, was working under head coach Ray Farrugia.
