The team that plays in Riyadh under the Al-Nassr badge did not start out as Al-Nassr. It began as Al-Mamlaka WFC, and it was that side which took the SAFF Women's Football Championship in 2021–22.

What followed reads oddly for a section with no settled founding date on record. When the Saudi Women's Premier League kicked off in 2022–23, Al-Nassr won it.

In February 2023 Cristiano Ronaldo met the women's squad at the training ground.

The 2024–25 season took them out of the country: Al-Nassr became the first Saudi side to enter the AFC Women's Champions League.
