Neom Sc Women

Neom sits on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, a megaproject still being built out of desert and shoreline. The women's team plays at King Khalid Sports City Stadium in Tabuk, some distance from the site the club is named after, in colours of blue and white lifted straight from the NEOM brand.

The team did not start life as Neom at all. It was founded in Jeddah in 2019 as White Lion Club, and by the time it reached its current identity it had already changed hands and names twice more: a rebrand to Western Hawks in mid-2023, then a takeover that made it Al-Suqoor within the same year. The NEOM megaproject bought the club in December 2023 and renamed it Neom Sports Club, folding a young Jeddah side into a Tabuk-based project built to carry the new city's name into the Saudi Women's Premier League.

Promotion came fast. In the 2024–25 season Neom won the Saudi Women's First Division League without losing a match, finishing on 42 points and sealing the title on 25 April 2025. The squad that did it draws on players from well beyond Saudi Arabia, among them the Jordanian captain Maysa Jbarah, and French goalkeeper Manon Heil sits behind a back line built partly around defenders from Kenya and Tunisia. Fabrice Abriel took over as head coach in late 2025, succeeding Lassaad Hanini, who had been in charge for the promotion campaign.

Four years and three names separate the Jeddah club that started as White Lion from the side now representing NEOM in Tabuk.
