Bolzano

Bolzano rejoined the ICE Hockey League in 2013 after a spell competing under the name HCB Südtirol, and within a year had already won it — the first non-Austrian club ever to do so. A second title followed in 2018, with the 2014 run settled in overtime by Žiga Pance's series-winning goal.

Domestically nothing else in Italian hockey compares. Bolzano has been champion of Serie A nineteen times, and added three Coppa Italia wins alongside four Supercoppa Italiana titles. That gap in quality shows in the club's oldest rivalry, the South Tyrol derby against Val Pusteria, still the fixture that draws the province's attention regardless of where either side sits in the table.

The club dates back to 1933, among the earliest ice hockey teams formed in northern Italy, and spent part of the late 1990s and 2000s under a different identity after merging with SG Caldaro, playing as SG Caldaro Bolzano and then HCB Südtirol before the current name returned in 2013.

Games are played at the Sparkasse Arena, built on the site once known as the Eiswelle.
