Club · KY · Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier B
Six wins from six matches carried the Cayman Islands through the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Sub-regional Qualifier B unbeaten.
The Cayman Islands Cricket Association, formed in 1970 to organise a game already played informally from 1940, joined the International Cricket Council as an Affiliate Member in 1997 and moved up to Associate status in 2002 — the administrative scaffolding behind a side that plays in white and blue.
The batting has carried two names in different eras. Sacha de Alwis holds the team's T20 International run-scoring record, past 760 runs with a highest score of 150 not out, and has also played in the Lanka Premier League for the Dambulla Giants. Jermaine Baker has since overtaken the tally of matches played to become the current leading scorer, with more than 1,000 runs, and has taken that batting to Major League Cricket, turning out for the Texas Super Kings and the Seattle Orcas. With the ball, Conroy Wright's 39 T20I wickets stand as the team record.
Matches are played at the Jimmy Powell Oval, near George Town on Grand Cayman.
