Ejstrup/Haervejen Women

Ejstrupholm Hallen sits in Ejstrupholm, the small town next to Nørre Snede where the club actually plays its handball. What matters more is why the club exists at all: it grew out of a merger between Hærvejens Håndboldklub and Ejstrupholm GF, itself the end point of a much older chain. Handball in the area goes back to summer sessions in 1968, organised into a proper committee by 1977, and formalised as Hærvejens HK on 15 March 1982 through a cooperation with the neighbouring Klovborg club.

Ejstrup/Haervejen Women now compete in the 1. Division, the second tier of Danish women's handball. There are no league titles or cup runs to point to. Cup draws have occasionally sent them up against the country's stronger sides, Viborg HK among them.

Squads turn over the way they do at this level: Stella Muir came through after time at Team Esbjerg, Freja Hauge Hansen moved on to Horsens Handbold Elite, and others pass through the roster without leaving much trace beyond a season's team sheet.
