Rodovre Women

Rødovre Håndboldklub's women no longer play in the top flight; the team trains and plays some matches at Rødovre Stadionhal, while league fixtures are held at Rødovre Hallen.

The club split off from Rødovre og Omegns Gymnastikforening on 14 March 1953. A golden run began in 1977, built on youth teams that collected twenty Danish Youth Championships between then and 1994. That pipeline fed a senior side promoted to the top division in 1982, and within five years it had gone all the way: the Danish Women's Handball League title in 1986–87. Runner-up finishes followed in 1983–84, 1985–86 and 1987–88, with a bronze added in between — a team that kept reaching the final weekend without quite repeating the one championship it had already won.

Mette Vestergaard Larsen wore the shirt 181 times, the most of anyone at the club. Helle L. Petersen made 148 appearances of her own.
