Esperança d'Andorra

Ninth place, a quarter-final in the Copa Constitució — that is where Esperança stands after five seasons of existence. Esperança won it and stayed up. The following season brought the same finishing position but a longer run in the cup, as far as the last eight.

The club came together in Andorra la Vella in 2020, one more registration in a football landscape already crowded with clubs from the same small capital. Three years later it reached the Primera Divisió for the first time, finishing third in the Segona Divisió behind champions FC Pas de la Casa. The debut season went better than the one that followed: eighth place, before the drop into the relegation mire a year later.

There is no rival stamped onto the fixture list. Games against Rànger's or Penya Encarnada carry the closeness of shared streets rather than the weight of a named derby, and a club has not had the time to grow one. Black and white are the colours, the Centre d'Entrenament de la FAF the ground.

Richard Imbernón took the team up in that first promotion season, arriving with a record already built at FC Andorra and Inter Club d'Escaldes.
