Färjestad

Peter Forsberg wore Färjestad's crest before the world learned his name in Colorado — the club that shaped him still plays under the crown at Löfbergs Arena in Karlstad. Håkan Loob's path ran differently: he scored 50 goals in a single NHL season as no other Swede has, and his number five now hangs retired above the ice. Jörgen Jönsson wore the captaincy long enough to have his own number, 21, retired alongside it.

Färjestad BK was founded on 10 November 1932 in the Färjestad district, the work of Sven Brynhild, Gösta Jonsson, Sven Larsson and Erik Myren, agreed at the Håfström Kiosk. The name Kungarna, the Kings, comes from the crown on the jersey, and dark green, white and gold have stayed the club's colours since.

Christian Berglund lifted the championship in 2011, one entry in a run that has given Färjestad the Le Mat Trophy ten times since 1981, most recently in 2022.
