Gazalkent are back in the Pro League this season. The club spent 2025 rebuilding from nothing after 26 years without a team.
The gap wasn't a slow decline. Founded in 1993, the club dropped out of the First League in 2000 and was disbanded outright. It simply stopped existing until 2025, when it was reformed and pushed straight back toward the top flight.
The clearest thread back to the old Gazalkent runs through Ravshan Irmatov. He played for the club in the First League in 1996, before an ankle injury ended his playing career outright. He turned to officiating instead.
There is no championship or cup run to point to. The best the old Gazalkent managed was seventh in the First League, back in 1995.
