The Bornova Atatürk Spor Salonu holds around 2,500 people. Göztepe moved its senior team back there for the 2024–25 season, the first time in over two decades the club had a professional side to house.

A second run in the top flight followed in 2002–03, but the branch folded soon after under financial strain and stayed closed for close to twenty years.

It came back in October 2021 as a youth project, with no senior team attached. Rüçhan Tamsöz is part of that continuity: he captained the squad that first pushed Göztepe into the BSL in 2016–17, and he now coaches the side he once played for. Under him, Göztepe won the Türkiye Basketbol 2. Ligi in 2024–25, its first league title in two decades, and earned promotion back to the Turkish Basketball League.
