The final that put the club on the map came in the 2007/08 season, when the team beat SPR Lublin 32–26 to lift the Polish Cup. Goalkeeper Iwona Łącz was named best player of that match.

A year later they were back in the final and lost it, beaten 27–23 by Zagłębie Lubin, and the Superliga has mostly kept them just short of the podium since: third place three times, in 2012/13, 2017/18 and 2018/19, with a run of fourth-placed finishes either side of those bronzes.

European football has stretched to a quarter-final of the Challenge Cup and a couple of third-round exits in the EHF Cup and Cup Winners' Cup, campaigns that added mileage without silverware. Domestically, the fixture that matters most is against SPR Pogoń Szczecin, known locally as the Derby of Western Pomerania, though in earlier years it was the Tri-City clubs from Gdynia and Gdańsk that gave the rivalry its edge.

Home games are played in green and black at the Koszalin Multi-Purpose Arena, a hall that can be reconfigured from around 3,000 seats up to 4,500 depending on how much of the retractable seating is opened up. The club has since gone through name changes, playing more recently as Piłka Ręczna Koszalin and now as Młyny Stoisław Koszalin, but the run that people still bring up first is the one that ended with Łącz lifting the cup against Lublin.
