A team that had reached a Polish Cup final against Vive Kielce in 2020/2021 was gone within a year.

It started again from the bottom. Playing as Emes Security Pałac Młodzieży in 2024/2025, the rebuilt team finished second in Group 4 of the II Liga, enough for promotion back to the I Liga, where it now sits in Group D.

Between those two promotions lay a decade of shifting identities. The club ran as ZKS Unia Tarnów from 1978, then as SPR Tarnów and SPR PWSZ Tarnów, before Grupa Azoty's backing carried it to that Superliga spell, the cup final and a Champions League campaign in 2021/2022.

The rebuilt side now plays at Arena Jaskółka . Pałac has never carried a nickname of its own. Its history goes back further still, to Stanisław Majorek , an Honorary Citizen of Tarnów who founded the city's handball section in 1960, put a senior team into league competition by 1966, and went on to coach the Polish national side to bronze at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.
