Runners-up is where Pieno žvaigždės' first handball season ended. HC Pieno žvaigždės lost the decider to HC Dragūnas Klaipėda in 2024–25.

The dairy company AB "Pieno žvaigždės" had backed the town's basketball side for years, but when that club withdrew from the Lithuanian Basketball League in the summer of 2024 for lack of money, the sponsor moved its funding into handball instead. The name and the blue, yellow and white colours carried over from basketball, and Pasvalys returned to the Lithuanian Handball League after a ten-year gap.

Gintaras Paškevičius took charge as head coach for 2025–26, with Serhijus Serenko assisting him, and the squad now mixes local players such as Modestas Štarolis and Titas Janušonis with Ukrainian imports Ihor Odynokov and Roman Litynskyi. A second team has been entered in the First League this season, alongside academy graduates like Vytautas Impolis pushing for minutes in the senior side. The club plays at the Pieno žvaigždžių arena on Taikos gatvė, built in 2011 and holding around 1,500.

What Pasvalys has not managed yet is the title itself.
