Rungsted Seier Capital

The story behind Rungsted Ishockey Klub runs through a name rather than an arena or a founding date: Lars Seier Christensen, the businessman whose sponsorship deal in January 2016 gave the club its current identity, Rungsted Seier Capital. Bankruptcy in 2010 pushed the professional side out of the top flight altogether, and it took until 2013, under the name Rungsted Ishockey, for the club to fight its way back in.

The Danish Cup has gone to Rungsted six times, most recently in 2019, and the club has twice taken its place in the Champions Hockey League group stage, in 2019–20 and 2021–22, but did not score away, but conceded.

Matches against Rødovre Mighty Bulls carry their own weight in Danish hockey, known simply as the Rungsted–Rødovre derby.
