Odense Bulldogs

The club did not start life under that name. It formed in 1978 as Odense Ishockey Klub, breaking away from the city's skating association, and only became the Bulldogs in 1991, when promotion to the top flight gave it a new identity to match. Officially the colours are green, red and orange, but supporters and the local press have long known the team by black and yellow instead — 'Sort og Gul'.

Before the league title arrived, the Danish Cup was where the Bulldogs made their mark. Lars Oxholm and Mads True both have their numbers retired by the club.

Little love is lost with Herning Blue Fox, the Bulldogs' main rival on the national stage, while the fixture against SønderjyskE carries its own weight as the Syddansk Derby. Home games are played in front of just over 3,000 people at the Sparekassen Danmark Arena.
