4, that Tytani Wejherowo have built everything they have. The club grew out of a group of athletes training at a different school complex in the town, No. 1, who wanted handball back in the region. Piotr Rembowicz took over as coach that September, and by the following season the team was already in the II Liga, finishing eleventh in its debut year.
No major titles were won in the years that followed. The breakthrough came in 2019: Tytani finished as runners-up in the II Liga with 22 wins against four defeats, then went through a promotion playoff run for the Polish Handball Federation, beating UMKS Orlęta Zwoleń and Wisła Sandomierz to go up to the I Liga. The team was named Wejherowo's best at the following year's sports gala. In the 2019/2020 season the side finished bottom of I Liga Group A, and only the pandemic's early end to the campaign kept them up.
Robert Wicon, once vice-president of the club, now sits on the bench as head coach, with Paweł Paździocha assisting him, while Remigiusz Sałata runs things as president. The "yellow-red family," as the supporters call themselves, has had individual moments to shout about too.
