PGE Wybrzeże Gdańsk remains the fixture Kwidzyn circles first. MMTS has carried it since 1998, playing under the black and red that gave the club its supporters' shorthand, Czarno-Czerwoni.

The closest the club came to a national title was the 2009/2010 season, when it finished runner-up in the Polish Championship — a silver medal bracketed by three bronze finishes in the years either side of it. That same season carried them to the final of the EHF Challenge Cup, where Sporting CP beat them to the trophy. It is still the high-water mark of the club's run in Europe.

Matches are played at the Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa on Mickiewicza street, a hall that holds barely over a thousand people.

What keeps Kwidzyn relevant beyond its own results is the academy attached to it, SMS ZPRP Kwidzyn, which trains alongside the senior side and feeds it directly. Goalkeeper Oliwier Chruściel has already made that step up into the MMTS first team, while left back Oskar Witczak has gone on to play for Poland's under-20 side.

MMTS now competes for its place in the Orlen Superliga, drawing on a pipeline built for exactly that purpose.
