The University Sports Hall on ulica prof. Szafrana holds 1,500 and belongs to the University of Zielona Góra as much as to the club itself. The women's team plays there in green and white, colours that echo the city's own name: Zielona Góra, Green Mountain.

The parent club, AZS Uniwersytet Zielonogórski, was founded in 1966. The men's handball side built the more visible record, reaching third place in the I Liga in 2007 and taking gold at the AZS Club Championships in 2006. The women's section, now competing under the sponsored name Osiński-Trans AZS UZ Zielona Góra in the 1. Liga Women, sits a level below the top flight and has yet to add a comparable line to the club's honours.

In the current squad, Karolina Mrozowicz and Lidia Kowalaszek have carried the scoring load through the 2026 season.
