Arab Club Champions Cup 2023/24

The Arab Club Champions Cup is a regional football tournament organized by the Union of Arab Football Associations. It gathers clubs from across the Arab world, bridging the gap between Asian and African football confederations. Unlike continental competitions restricted to their respective zones, this event welcomes teams from both Asia and Africa, provided they represent member states of the Arab League. The tournament was established in 1981, with the inaugural final held the following year.

Its structure has evolved significantly over the decades. Earlier iterations included separate competitions for cup winners and a super cup, which merged in 2002 to form the "Arab Unified Club Championship." Various names followed, including the "Arab Champions League" and "UAFA Club Cup," before settling on the current title in 2018. Recent formats have seen up to 37 teams contest preliminary rounds, with sixteen advancing to a group stage. These groups feed into a knockout phase, where recent editions have employed single-leg matches for all subsequent tiers.

Historical dominance belongs to Al-Rasheed and Espérance de Tunis, each securing three titles. Al-Rasheed claimed a hat-trick in the mid-1980s, while Espérance de Tunis won in 1993, 2009, and 2017. Several other clubs, including Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab, have added two titles to their collections. The 2023 edition, officially known as the King Salman Club Cup, concluded with Al-Nassr defeating Al-Hilal to lift the trophy for the first time. Future editions are planned for 2027 and 2029.
