Copa Alagoas is a professional football knockout cup competition organized by the Federação Alagoana de Futebol (FAF) in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. Originally established in 2005 as a phase of the Campeonato Alagoano, the tournament was discontinued after 2007 before being revived as a standalone, independent event in 2020. ASA claimed the inaugural edition upon its return.
The competition functions as a secondary state title and provides a qualification route for national competitions. In the Brazilian football pyramid, it operates as a cup competition rather than a tier of the league system. The winner secures a place in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, which serves as the fourth tier of the national league. Additionally, the victor enters a playoff for a spot in the Copa do Brasil.
Recent formats typically feature twelve teams divided into groups, followed by two-legged knockout stages. These participants include eight clubs from the Série A and four from the Segunda Divisão (Second Division). This mixed-division structure contrasts with the main Campeonato Alagoano, which restricts entry to top-tier clubs.
ASA, CSE, and CSA represent the most successful clubs in the modern era following the 2020 revival, each holding multiple titles. CSA holds the position of reigning champion, having defeated opponents in recent editions to retain the trophy.
