Potiguar - U20 (Brazil) 2025/26

The Campeonato Potiguar Sub-20 is the official state youth football championship for players under 20 years old in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Organized by the Federação Norte-rio-grandense de Futebol (FNF), the tournament began in 2021 after a previous sub-19 category. The competition serves as the primary qualifying pathway for Rio Grande do Norte representatives to the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, Brazil's most prestigious national youth tournament. The format typically involves teams divided into two groups, Group A and Group B. The first phase consists of a round-robin within groups, where top teams advance to the knockout stage. The knockout phase includes quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. Matches in the knockout stage are played as single legs; draws are decided by penalty kicks. Participation is voluntary and determined by club registration with the FNF. There is no promotion or relegation system linking the Sub-20 to the senior Campeonato Potiguar or other youth categories. Notable champions include ABC, which won the inaugural edition. América-RN has secured victories in 2023 and 2025, establishing itself among the most successful clubs in the competition's history. Alecrim claimed the title in 2022, while Força e Luz won in 2024. América-RN is among the most successful clubs in the competition's history. The competition does not currently have a sponsored name.
