Sérgio China pushed a group into a Potiguar Sub-20 final in 2025, where América-RN closed the game out 1-0. The coach, who played for both ABC and Santa Cruz before turning to the touchline, works from a club Mayfran Ribeiro registered in November 2023 and named after his own father, Francisco das Chagas de Souza Ribeiro — known to everyone as "Quinho".

The under-20 side carries the senior team's blue-and-black stripes, a pattern lifted from Inter Milan, and the same "Águia" nickname. It trains and plays out of Parnamirim, at the Estádio Francisco Ribeiro, a ground that holds 1,550 people and shares its name with the man the club was built to honour.

Beyond the state championship, the age-group side has been drawn into the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior for 2026, placed in a group against Atlético Mineiro, Audax and União Rondonópolis. The senior team's own run to promotion, sealed unbeaten in the Segunda Divisão in 2025, has given the club's youth setup a bigger stage to justify itself on.

What the Sub-20 side has not yet done is win the regional title it has now twice come close to. A first appearance in a Segunda Divisão final in 2024 ended in defeat to Alecrim, and the loss to América-RN in 2025 left QFC U20 with a runner-up medal and no trophy of its own to show for either campaign.
