Stjarnan moved into 21st round of the Urvalsdeild with a 2-1 victory over Breidablik at their own ground. The visitors took the lead through G. Kristjansson in the 29th minute before B. Ingason added a second just before the interval. It was a result Breidablik had not seen coming, and by then the momentum had shifted decisively.
What caught the eye was not the scoreline but how Stjarnan made it count. They held a high line and found a way back into it when Breidablik pressed. And here's the thing — Breidablik had more possession, more attacks, even more shots, but Stjarnan were second to everything in front of goal. Three substitutions in the 65th minute suggested the hosts were searching for an answer they could not find.

Stjarnan, eighth with 24 points, had won their last outing 4-2 against Thór. The history between them adds an edge, but today the visitors simply got over the line.
The gap between them in the table remains six points, though the shape of the season is still being written. Breidablik will want to turn this around, but the price has drifted and they are now looking over their shoulder. Stjarnan at least have something to build on.
