Keflavík

The football section traces back to 1929, when it operated inside a wider sports association under the name Ungmennafélag Keflavíkur. It broke off as its own football club in 1950, and only in 1994, the year Keflavík town merged with its neighbours to form Reykjanesbær, did it settle on the name it carries now. The club stayed Keflavík in name even after the town it was named for stopped existing on the map.

The championship record sits inside a tight window. All four league titles came between 1964 and 1973. The Icelandic Cup came later and less often, taken in 1975, 1997, 2004 and 2006, spacing the club's cup pedigree across four different decades of the domestic game.
