About the player
Ivan Kalyuzhnyi came through the youth ranks in Kharkiv, moving between the academies of Arsenal Kharkiv, Metalist and Dynamo Kyiv before breaking into senior football with Metalist 1925. From there his career took him west to Rukh Lviv, and then to Oleksandriya, where he spent the longest stretch of his career to date, between 2021 and 2025.
That period was interrupted by a string of loan spells that took him well outside Ukraine's usual football map. He spent time with Keflavik in Iceland, then moved to India to play for Kerala Blasters, before a further loan back home with LNZ Cherkasy.
In 2025 Kalyuzhnyi returned to the club where his senior career had started, by then renamed Kharkiv after Metalist 1925 changed its identity. He plays in midfield.
