Falkenberg put four past Brage in the Superettan's 21st round on Friday evening, securing a comfortable victory at the Falken Alkoholfri Arena. The hosts were already leading before the break, with H. Kallstrom netting twice in the opening ten minutes to set the tone for what followed.
Kallstrom opened the scoring in the seventh minute and doubled his tally four minutes later, leaving Brage chasing shadows by half-time. A. Andersson returned the visitors' only goal in the 61st minute, but L. Madsen's strike in the 67th minute restored Falkenberg's two-goal cushion and effectively killed the contest.
The statistics tell a story of dominance without control. Falkenberg held 54 per cent possession and registered 16 shots, eight on target, while Brage managed nine shots with five hitting the target. Both sides produced four corners each, but the difference in clinical finishing was stark.
Falkenberg sit second in the table with 38 points from 21 games, their recent form showing inconsistency with losses to Norrköping and Varberg bookending a run of draws and a win. Brage remain 14th with 21 points and have now lost three of their last five, including heavy defeats to United Nordic and Norrköping.
The result leaves Falkenberg nine points clear of the play-off places, while Brage find themselves eight points adrift of safety with five matches remaining.
