Jonathan Gürsac came through the youth ranks in Södertälje while the club around him kept changing its name.
What the club has done since 2019 is climb. Division 4 Stockholm Södra that year, Division 3 Södra Svealand the next, then Division 2 Södra Svealand in 2022. The one stumble came in 2023: second place in Ettan Norra, and the promotion playoff lost to Örgryte IS. Two seasons later they went up as champions of Ettan Norra and reached Superettan, the second tier, for the first time.
Home is Södertälje Fotbollsarena, 5,785 seats. The kit is black with red patterning; away, plain white.
Södertälje is the town where the Assyriska FF–Syrianska FC derby is played, one of the sharpest fixtures in Swedish football, and Nordic United sits inside that world without owning a derby of its own. There are no national cup wins on the honours board.
The story starts in 2004 with a club named Assyriska FF Babylon.
