Lipéringer moved into second place in the Second League with a 3:2 win over Vötschberg at the Munzer Biotechnologie Sportpark on Friday evening. The result lifts the visitors to 10 points from five games, while the hosts remain on five points in 13th place.
F. Schubert opened the scoring for Vötschberg in the ninth minute before I. Ivanschitz levelled from the penalty spot 15 minutes later. The visitors then took the lead through E. Neubauer in the 52nd minute, and J. Zangerl added a second for Lipéringer in the 81st minute.
There were four yellow cards for Vötschberg and three for Lipéringer, with the hosts making three substitutions at half-time. Both sides brought on fresh legs in the second half as the game opened up.
Then came the moment that decided it. O. Adejenughure scored in the 90+5th minute to complete the comeback, and by then the match had turned into something else entirely.
Vötschberg dominated possession at 43 per cent but managed only six shots on target from 14 attempts. Lipéringer were more efficient, hitting six targets from ten shots across the 90 minutes.
The win extends Lipéringer's unbeaten run to four matches, while Vötschberg's recent form has been inconsistent with a heavy defeat to BW Linz on their last outing.
