«Schwarz-Grüne»
The Tivoli Stadion Tirol sits below the mountains at 16,008 seats. The original FC Wacker Innsbruck ran from 1915 until 1999.
What that first team won still belongs to the history books more than to the current side: five Austrian championships between 1971 and 1977, six Austrian Cups, and two Mitropa Cups in the mid-1970s. The rebuilt Wacker has had to climb again, winning the regional Western League in its debut season of 2002/03 and reaching the second-tier First League title three times since — 2003/04, 2009/10 and 2017/18.
Stanislav Cherchesov kept goal here between 2004 and 2006, a spell that sits oddly alongside the club's lower-league grind in the years either side.
