Match report
Fratria saw off CSKA Sofia II 1:0 in the second league's sixth round on Saturday evening. The result keeps the hosts top of the table with 13 points from six games, while the visitors remain fourth on 11. By then the match had settled into a rhythm the home side understood well.
The only goal came when D. Angelov found the net in the 80th minute. It was a moment that shifted everything, though not before Fratria had been content to work around their opponents. And here's the thing — they had 53 per cent possession but created more danger than the statistics suggest.
Five shots on target for the hosts against four for the visitors tells part of the story. The rest is in the corners: nine to five, and the attacks — 87 to 79 — show who pushed forward most. To be fair, CSKA Sofia II made do with fewer chances and still kept things tight.
Substitutions began in the 28th minute when I. Iliev came on, and the game kept turning. G. Atanasov and S. Dyulgerov were brought on together at the hour, then L. Kostov and A. Nikolov followed. The home side added V. Kaymakanov in the 77th minute and R. Zhivkov near the end.
Discipline was tested throughout. Y. Iliev received a yellow card at 63 minutes, followed by M. Stoychev and R. Stefanov within minutes of each other. D. Yanakov picked up his booking late on, in the 88th minute. Four yellows between them, but no reds to complicate matters.
Fratria's form since the opening day has been steady — draws and wins strung together without collapse. CSKA Sofia II have been more volatile, with four-goal games and narrow victories mixed in. This one belonged to the hosts, who saw it out after Angelov's break.
